A couple of days after John McCain announced Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, I was over at my favorite uncle’s house having dinner with him and his wife. In the course of conversation, catching up on what had been going on in our respective lives, I asked my aunt what she thought of Ms. Palin’s nomination. Her response was that she thought Palin was “the kiss of death”. I couldn’t agree more, but for very different reasons than what my aunt had in mind. Read more »

Remembering Lois Rainwater
